Aitor, born and raised in the Basque Country, is in that group of artists sparingly measuring their output, always searching for the new, aiming for high quality instead of constant, monotonous releases. Aitor Etxebarria こと El_Txef_A は今回、1937年の "ゲルニカ空爆" を題材にして新たに制作されたドキュメンタリー映画のサウンドトラックの作曲を担当した。ドイツとイタリアの空軍による、スペインの一般市民が標的にされた、「史上初の無差別空爆」とされる、かの有名な空爆の80周年に合わせて制作された映画『Markak』のために、まさしくその土地(バスク地方ゲルニカ)出身のプロデューサーである彼が作曲したサウンドトラックアルバムは、彼の人生において、初の映画制作に関わる仕事となり、彼の本名を名義とした初の作品となった。2016年の『San Sebastian Film Festival』にて初上映されたこの映画は、ゲルニカに住む若い世代への、かの空爆が及ぼしている影響を探る作品となっている。『Markak : Soundtrack For Motion Picture 』は Aitor Etxebarria のレーベル "Forbidden Colours" より 4月に発売。

Aitor Etxebarria, AKA El_Txef_A, has produced the soundtrack for a new documentary about the bombing of Guernica in 1937. 2012年にリリースした 1st アルバム『Slow Dancing In A Burning Room』を機に一躍注目を集め、2016年に公開されたスペインのドキュメンタリー映画『Markak』では全てのサウンドトラックの作曲と制作を担当し、アルバムとして今年春に "Forbidden Colours" よりヴァイナルカットを含んだリリースもされた、クラブミュージックを越えた分野からも実力を認められ、高い評価を集め続けているスペインの若き才能 "El_Txef_A (エルツェフア)" が3年ぶりに来日。国内ではいち早く El_Txef_A の実力を認め、前回来日時にはサポートを務めるために東京にてパーティー自体をオーガナイズまで手掛けた SEKITOVA と共に、今回は CIRCUS OSAKA にて共演。
